There is nothing so exciting as extending ones home, even if it's just for an extra room. All sorts of ideas creep in and you find yourself changing your mind a hundred times before you settle on exactly what you will do with your new space. Having said that, conservatories are an excellent choice to use as a build-on because they are so beautiful.

What's so great about this type of expansion, is that you could turn the space into anything your heart desires and still reap the benefits of the sun. Having that extra space will instantly give you many ideas from the whole family and before you know it you are planning where it should be built.

If you are still not sure what you can use your space for, here is a list of uses:

If you have children then it could be used as an extra room for them to play in. If you have a teenager who wants to be on their own, then it will be ideal so you can keep an eye on them. What about having a beautiful dinning room with a smart chandelier as a center piece. Many people are working from home these days and making a spare room into an office. You could do that, but with an added bonus, you would have your garden close by. And, of course the most popular of all is to use it for a sun room in the winter.

Many people also use theirs for a small swimming pool which can double up as a heated pool for the winter months. It's really nice to enjoy heated water in the winter months, especially at night when the stars are out and you are protected from the harsh elements from outside.

There is also an option to house a small swimming pool or a heated jacuzzi for those cold winter nights. Of course if you entertain a lot, you could use it for a bar and pool room area for your guests.

If you choose say a Victorian style, remember the circular feel that it will give you, or if you are interested in the P-shape design this will be attached with a passage and give you a semi-circle at the end.

A Gabled design will give you maximum height but will be plain in its design. So, rather get expert advise from people who build conservatories and know what they are doing, you won't be sorry as you use your extra space for years to come.
