Cutting ones lawn has some what become an art of sorts. While to many people just mow there lawn because they have to, but if you mow your lawn the right way then you will have a healthy lawn and soil.

To many a person mowing there lawn has become an art. While to many people just cut there lawn because they have to, but cutting your lawn the right way is especially important to keep the grass healthy.

1. Before you begin to mow your lawn, its advisable to remove any stones and tree debris that may get in the way. Doing so will help prevent any damage to your mower, as well it will stop any of these materials from being hurled by yout lawn mower. if you do this you will stop the possibility of a fatal accident or damage to your property.

2. Do not mow your lawn to short and this will keep it healthy. In general, leave about a half of an inch of grass sticking out of the ground. By cutting your lawn any lower than this, you will not only ruin it but also kill it of.

3. If you find mowing your lawn therapeutic, try not to be overeager about it. You do not need to mow your lawn each week, just leave your lawn until it begins to look unkempt and then mow it. Your lawn will look healthier if you give it time to grow.

4. Never throw the cut grass away. While it may seem that it assists in keeping your lawn looking neat, you should keep it on top of the grass. Once the cut grass breaks down, it will work as a mulch or a fertiliser for your lawn.

5. Lastly, try to keep your mowing pattern as varied as is possible everytime you do this activity. It keeps the growth of your grass straight. Not all gardeners agree on this though.

If you follow the above points then you should have a healthy marvelous looking. But as well do not forget that the quality of your lawn mower is all-important to.
