Aluminum and conscientiously 'selected hardwoods' were now employed in the final product where they served the customer's need the best. Aluminum was, sturdy, straightforward to get and less expensive to buy now than 'selected hardwoods'. Wonderful that Composite Construction was born and married the two. Headlines such as 'Aluminum Production at New Peacetime High' on The Hartford Courant, has heralded the beginning of a new age. Not only aluminum, but plastic was being combined with the traditional hardwood in what was considered innovative at the time. Nor would they be very talked-about. It isn't a big surprise that folk who collect and revive these items generally work with the older models. If you should happen to find an older Kitchen maid cupboard, then replacing the missing or rusted out hardware can prove to be a bit difficult. Perhaps in its haste to enhance the antique versions from centuries past a whole lot of skillful advantageous knowledge was lost on the way.
