It is indeed thrilling to look at how easily the faces were turned into works of art .It is so inviting at times that you may also want to try your hand at face painting. A good start is to look in children's painting books. A school book will have some good basic face painting designs. You will have to imagine the design and transform it to the face as the book may not be about face painting

You can start practicing the simple designs on paper or on your hand but once you are sure that you can pull it off then try the same design on the face of the child. Don't worry if it does not look like a professionals work, the child whose face has been painted would just be happy for the effort you are taking.

There are specific books for face painting designs that are great to look in for ideas. There are literally hundreds of books to choose from with lots of different ideas and designs. Often included are simple steps by step designs and all that is required is to follow the instructions

You can get design inspiration for face painting almost everywhere, you just have to look. You will find plenty of designs online as well as there are many dedicated sites for face painting. The most common and popular designs are tiger, princess, bunny, dog, butterfly, Spiderman, monster, Spiderman, pirates and skull.

Learning 10-15 designs and perfecting them over time will be a good foundation going forward. Once you can paint these well and feel comfortable you can try out harder designs. Practicing makes your skills improve very quickly but always have fun when face painting
